CARRIE

I have the fondest memories from my childhood of every holiday and celebration with my family.  With an event planner mother, parties were a big deal in our house and I was always in awe of how, through planning and bringing people together, unforgettable events were created. It was a very natural progression for me to pursue a career as an event planner.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve engaged with all kinds of people and organizations on events of all sizes — from intimate corporate dinners with 20 C-Level Executives to multi-day conferences with 3,000+ people. My passion is to work on events that bring the mission and people behind a non-profit to life, that help a company show the world what they stand for, or tell the story of a couple getting ready to spend their lives together. No matter the size or the reason, to me planning an event is all about creating an environment for our clients to share their stories and make memorable experiences come alive!

NANCY

Is it odd to say that I get totally jazzed from organization, production schedules and banquet event orders? It has been a joy to effectively collaborate with clients and management teams during the life cycle of a project — from creation through completion — for a multitude of events in the corporate, non-profit, private and social arenas. Over 30+ years, I have worked on events including everything from an Artists’ Masked Ball for 1,500, to sales meetings, conferences, galas, product launches, fundraisers, receptions and milestone events, ranging in size from 10 to 4,000.

I have experienced hundreds (yes hundreds!) of event scenarios and confidently know how to make the client shine like no other. I love getting lost in the logistical details, and it’s a wonderful feeling to bring together all the elements with the end result being a resounding success. I figure out on the spot how to handle the unexpected and do not get ruffled. I have worked in a variety of venues and destinations throughout the United States (and Europe) and enjoy every new location and experience. When someone asks what I do and I say I am an event planner, I usually hear ‘you are so lucky, that sounds like such a fun career’...and I have to wholeheartedly agree!

VIVEKA

I was first introduced to the world of event planning back in college when I had an informational “life coaching” call with Nancy Scocozza (yes, Nancy who would one day be one of my partners!) to learn more about the industry. Needless to say the call went well. After graduation I worked for small events and fundraising firm in my native city of Washington, DC. A few years later I moved to NYC, accepted a job at an events and PR firm, and found myself working with none other than Nancy and another future partner, Carrie! From there, I went to work for a non-profit where I managed the organization’s robust events calendar and fundraising portfolio.

I thoroughly enjoy being a part of making an event come to life — from the early planning stages with nothing more than a venue and a few ideas, to watching the event unfold into an unforgettable, multi-dimensional experience for the guests. No details are too small and my main priority is to make the event a unique and special experience for each client — whether it is a cocktail party for 100, a fundraising luncheon for 800 or a wedding the bride and groom will never forget.
